Risograph printing is a unique process which is very similar to creating mimeograph prints. However, I prefer to view it as a hybrid art process of xerography and screen printing due to my own personal experience with both mediums. Utilizing inks derived from rice bran oil, each individual layer of color is printed one at a time thus requiring multiple passes through the risograph machine to create a finished print.
With that in mind, this process can lead to some unique quirks for each print which may manifest in the form of differences in layer registration, ink coverage, roller marks, and smudges, amongst other visual aspects of the print. Due to this I hope you can cherish the print you may receive for its own unique character and charm! No two prints are exactly alike! Detail images depict how the print you receive may appear!
